The doctor described himself as a "major pervert" and a "paedophile." "And I am pleased about it," he recorded.  So who is this guy?


He was a French surgeon. He has been on trial since 24th February. He has been charged with raping or sexually assaulting almost 300 patients. He is 74 years old. And his name is Joël Le Scouarnec.


He has already been in jail after being found guilty in 2020 of abusing four children, including two of his nieces. In the latest trial, Le Scouarnec faces allegations that he assaulted or raped 299 patients, many while waking up from anaesthetic or during post-op checkups. 256 of his victims were under the age of 15. Joël is accused of disguising the abuse he carried out as medical duties, and he victimised mostly young people, those more vulnerable and unable to understand what was going on. He will face 20 years in prison on top of the 15 years of prison he has going on if he is convicted.


The trial is set to last about four months and has been part of a seven-year-long investigation, that started when his six-year-old neighbour told their parents about what he had been doing to her. Her name was Jonzac. She complained that he exposed himself and began touching her inappropriately back in 2017.


Drawings of naked children, a collection of dolls,  and hard disks with at least 300,000 photos and videos featuring child sexual abuse were found against him.


His assaults span over 25 years. Some of his patients didn't know until the police showed up to their doorstep that they had been a victim of his.


The reason for my writing this article is not only to talk about the vulgar acts this man has committed but to reach out to everyone, especially those who could be going through the same thing. This is not a story, this is a testament to all those people out there facing these issues. And no. It's not only the girls, it's the boys too who are going through this. This article is to tell people and give them a reality check of the world we live in. A nation will only be free when all its people can roam the streets safely, it will only be free when the parents of a child get to let them roam independently, and it will only be free when we do something about it.

ChatGPT causes wildifres?

A report by Goldman Sachs states that one ChatGPT query takes 2.9 watt-hours of electricity compared to 0.3 watt-hours a Google search takes. This is why, AI is blamed for massive carbon footprints, causing global warming. Overheating servers and greenhouse gas emissions are all causes of global warming and hence a direct cause of wildfires. Shaolei Ren, an associate professor at UC Riverside, discovered that writing one email with ChatGPT consumes 17 ounces of water. There are multiple such AI bots, so imagine the water consumption. In 2023, Microsoft reported a 29% increase in emissions and 23% higher water use due to technological advancements. HMPV; The new pandemic?

 Human metapneumovirus (HMPV) is a hot topic in the health and medical field. Most cases are mild, but young children, adults over 65, and people with weaker immune systems are more prone to the disease.  Will it cause a pandemic? Researchers and experts say no. HMPV is not a new threat or virus; it has been around for decades, which means there is a lot of immunity against it. It's more like a seasonal flu outbreak-- preventive measures like wearing masks can help control the spread of this disease. It is also not a very severe illness ( in most cases), and it doesn't spread quickly either.
