The 2025 Nagpur riots

On March 17, 2025, Nagpur, Maharashtra, underwent significant unrest following protests led by Hindu organizations imploring the removal of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb's tomb from Aurangabad. The situation escalated quickly, resulting in injuries, vandalization, violence, arson etc . The release of the film Chhaava , showing how the Maratha ruler Sambhaji was tortured by Aurangzeb, reinstated several statements made about the 'aggressive' and 'domineering' Mughal emperor. Though there is truth in their statem ents about his evil, he was also like any other ruler , he was hungry. Blast from the Past: The ILOVEYOU virus

Image
The ILOVEYOU virus, or the Lovebug/Loveletter, affected millions in the 2000s. It was the world's first global computer virus.  It was started by two college students, with the simple motivation of internet access. It's not easy. Almost all villains, real or mythic, are ingenious (more than the hero itself sometimes). It is a choice. It's how you wan...

He has been charged with raping or sexually assaulting almost 300 patients. He is 74 years old. And his name is Joël Le Scouarnec. He has already been in jail after being found guilty in 2020 of abusing four children, including two of his nieces. In the latest trial, Le Scouarnec faces allegations that he assaulted or raped 299 patients, many while waking up from anaesthetic or during post-op checkups. 256 of his victims were under the age of 15. Joël is accused of disguising the abuse he carried out as medical duties, and he victimised mostly young people, those more vulnerable and unable to understand what was going on. He will face 20 y...
